Web Apps for Students (+ Edit)

We felt this to be timely, since local public schools start next week.

“(Here) is the set of web tools I would put in my backpack were I headed back to school tomorrow…  Students today have a host of web apps at their finger tips that can truly facilitate a better learning environment.“ 

The list includes web-based MS Office replacements, notetaking, mind mapping, studying, bookmarking and collaboration applications.  it also conatins calendars, calculators and other tools.  Be sure to read the comments, as readers have made some great suggestions of similar applications.
